We understand that delivering high quality technical services is not purely about the level of technical expertise and knowledge but equally about how this expertise is used and solutions conveyed in an education setting. We only provide ICT services to schools and all of our technical team have a minimum of 5 years experience working in school environments.

 

We don’t aim to baffle our customers with technical jargon and understand that users have differing levels of experience and requirements.

 

Installation Services

 

The team has considerable experience of installing all ICT related equipment from single workstations and peripherals to complete network infrastructures. These services are available on curriculum, administration and single combined networks.

 

We have specialist expertise in the installation of the SIMS .net application suite.

 

Consultancy Services

 

More of our customers are now appreciating the benefits associated with using their MIS system across the school. We are able to offer consultancy and installation services to design a solution that meets your unique requirements, supplemented by a training and ongoing support package from our SIMS team.

 

We offer a wide range of technical consultancy and project services, supported and implemented by PRINCE2 certified staff.

 

Support Services

 

Reactive and Proactive support services are offered and delivered through telephone, remote and onsite means. Access to our support service is also available through our website 24/7.

 

School ICT Services also offers regular technician visits to your school at a frequency that suits your requirements. Building close relationships and partnerships with our customers is paramount and we will always endeavour to ensure that the same engineer visits your school.

 

Managed Service

 

The team has significant experience of providing both strategic level support and complete managed service agreements to schools. A typical scenario may involve a school wishing to take advantage of a Senior Engineer, perhaps one day per month, to assist with high level projects. We are also able to provide cover for sickness/absence of an in-school engineer or provide full-time members of staff to work permanently onsite in your school.

 

Network/Communications Infrastructure

 

We cater for all aspects of school network infrastructure design, installation and ongoing support. From the installation and repair of single network sockets to the implementation of wireless networks and complete new/replacement communications infrastructures.

 

Back-up Solutions

 

Data security is critical and now a high profile topic in light of recent data loss scandals. The traditional advice of removing back-up media from site every evening presents risk from possible loss or theft. In addition, the backing-up data by way of tape media is often seen as a laborious task that most schools would prefer not to have to undertake.

 

We have teamed up with one of the world’s largest storage specialists to provide schools with a secure, robust and competitively priced remote back-up solution. Data is encrypted to military levels of security and stored offsite at a data centre that is in turn replicated at a secondary centre to provide additional resilience.

 

All of our technical staff are CRB checked to an enhanced level and will always clearly display a photo card ID badge when operating on school premises.
